It looks and feels nice, but the functionality is subpar. Purchased to be a long-lasting travel bag rather than replacing cheap bags every couple years, but didn’t meet expectations.3/5 if not considering the price. 1/5 for wasting this amount of money on poor design.Returning.A few notes based on an initial packing, after which it was unpacked and never used:Pros:1) Zippers, fabric, & hardware (metal) feel nice and appear to be of good quality.2) Useful, sturdy connections points at different places that could prove helpful.Cons:1) Due to it’s firm and tapered structure, it fits lets than the smaller $40 backpack it was supposed to replace. The practical capacity does not meet the stated capacity (27L: “30L” is an average between the normally zipped “27L” and the “33L” unzipped expansion, which I did not test because the increased depth would make it too bulky). However, if someone just wants to pay a lot for “pretty” and pack light in a tall, large pack, this may be for that person.2) Shoulder straps don’t pack away completely out of sight (as in Peak Design’s demonstration images); and once cinched to desired length for carrying, excess strap flails around without something to hold them wrapped up and kept in place.3) The back magnetic pocket for compression strap storage that opens at the bottom feels like a bad design joke — really, as if someone designed and built it upside down, realized the goof, and just turned the bag right-side up and left the pocket there. When the bag is packed to even less than capacity, the structure is pushed such that the magnets barely hold, if at all, allowing anything in the pocket to fall out with the slightest nudge.4) Side (water bottle) pockets are tight. There are two connections for these pockets: a small strap that stretches a a little and pulls too much at the bag (I foresee this stressing and ripping inside the pocket or at the bag seem) and the looser mesh at the bottom, which serves little purpose with as little give the top strap allows. This will fit single-use plastic bottles well, but is tight for any metal bottles. I can’t imagine using these for intended camera tripods.
