After reading some of the reviews, I was a little skeptical about ordering these shoes since it was mentioned that these shoes do not have great support. I mainly will use these shoes for some of my Tai Chi and Yoga classes so I was not that concerned about the support. I am always more interested in the actual fit. I wear a wide shoe and in other Propet shoes that I have purchased, I am able to wear a W. However, when I looked closely at this shoe (as close as you can on a computer), I decided to order the E width. I am sure glad I did because with socks, the regular W would have been too tight. Bottom line is they are cut a little narrow. I did order another Propet shoe in W and it fits fine even with socks. Not sure why this differs in width from another version, but if you have wide feet, consider ordering the widest size. You will be glad you did. These shoes are mesh and washable, light weight and have small air vents at the bottom. Perfect summer shoe (although I am sure I will be wearing them year round). The width aside, I love the lilac and white color and I am thinking of ordering more colors. Price was right and I ordered directly from Amazon so there was also free shipping and I received in two days.Let me be as clear as a I can be - the shoe is well constructed, the sole is cushy and I LOVE the elastic lace thingy (not sure what to call it since you don't tie it) But, after just a few minutes my feet were sliding around in the shoe. I tightened them thinking that would help, but not at all. Since they are all mesh there is NO structure, and the mesh stretches. I was thinking about suggesting to you that you go down in size but the length of the shoes fit perfect, and the width was fine. I even added insoles and that didn't help the sliding. I ordered these to match an outfit for a non-profit fundraiser and it was tricky because I was running around for hours and sliding in my shoes! If they cost $20 I'd probably give 5 stars - but still tell you about the sliding...I will say the seller gets 10 stars because I think I got the best service I've gotten in a long long time - and I shop a lot online. I had a couple of pre-sale questions and they answered quickly and very friendly, AND I received my shoes in 2 days right in time for my event.I wore these shoes on a 2-week trip to Peru and enjoyed them, though they did not provide enough support on stone steps, cobblestone streets or rough trails. But when I wore them in Scotland, my feet were wet and cold the entire time. The squishy sole that makes these so comfortable is like a sponge. If the pavement is even slightly damp, these soak it right up so the bottoms of your feet stay wet all the time.Pros: o Light, comfortable, easy to pack. o Breathable mesh uppers. o Good airplane shoes - easy off/on at security, comfortable to wear inflight. o Good for urban walking on dry, paved walkways. o Machine washable.Cons: o Soles soak up water - not good for use in damp locations or rainy weather. o Insufficient support for walking on rough, uneven surfaces.I usually don't like to buy a shoe online that I haven't tried on -- or at least tried on something similar. However, I am very happy with this purchase. There is a plethora of running shoes, walking shoes, exercise shoes, cross-trainers, etc. not to mention the new breed of shoe that promises you a workout in itself. Just plain comfortable is not mentioned. Well, if that is what you're looking for this is the shoe. It is well-constructed and has enough padding for walking, standing and everyday activities but does not feel like a foot-girdle, binding and constrictive. It lets the foot breathe and I don't feel like I have to kick it off the minute I walk into the house. It also looks good and no having to lace-up to put on is a plus. Was able to wear if right out of he box with no sox for a few hours. Planning to order more.Never have I ordered shoes online before, but after reading reviews and checking prices I decided it was worth taking a chance. These shoes are very comfortable and light, just as good as the $90 Nikes I bought at a store. And the continuous-loop laces make them easier on-off. For walking, I needed plenty of thickness on the sole, with flexibility in front so that I don't trip up on the toe. These shoes are almost perfect walkers! But they don't get five stars because they are not particularly cool looking. Purple laces, as on my Nikes, would help. This is my second purchase, in a different color. The shoe is light weight and has flexible soles and so it's great for my problem knees. The shoe is comfortable enough but would be better if it had some more padding. I have wide feet so I ended up replacing the adjustable toggle closure with regular shoe laces--but that's just me. What I like most about this shoe is the light weight and flexibility, allowing for solid heel-to-toe steps (as opposed to the stiff stride provided by other sneakers). I highly recommend this shoe. These propet walking shoes are very flexible. But the problem is that the 2E width is not a true 2E, which is disappointing to people who have extra wide feet. It feels too tight, just like a W width. At this price, with no leather, they should have a wider outsole, and longer shoe laces. I wouldn't recommend it before they improve its width design.I wear alot of navy blue and find it difficult to find shoes to match. These are nice looking and easy to put on. My only complaint is that there is absolutely no support. I've worn Propet shoes (like Merrells) and really like them. These aren't as comfortable, but the pull on method of lacing is great.
